OUR OFFICE USES SOLAR ENERGY TO PRODUCE OUR OWN ELECTRICITY

In keeping with our strong support of environmental responsibility and conservation, we have installed a 5.5 KW commercial PV (Photo Voltaic) system on the roof of our law office. It produces all of the electrical energy we need to run our computers, printers, copier, lights and appliances, during most of the year. The installation was overseen by David Parker of Advanced Energy Systems (AES).

David Atkin, the director of Nonprofit Support Services, has had a long history as a solar advocate and user, and has taught college level classes in renewable energy systems, while in graduate school. David's home in Eugene uses a solar water heater (a closed loop antifreeze solar water heating system). In addition, his family farm in southern Oregon is also powered with renewable solar PV electrical energy.
